WHAT MAKES A GREAT CULTURE?
Culture is an integral part of our daily lives, shaping our sense of belonging, growth, and purpose. It takes each of our concerted efforts and unique opinions to create an authentic culture that lifts everyone it touches. When we all embrace our role in fostering a vibrant culture, we not only enhance the workplace but also empower each other to thrive personally and professionally. So…
…how Can YOU Create Culture in Your Office?
COMBINE FORCES
The CD&I leaders in your territories are there for your support. They can help you with sorting out timing, content, and dodging scheduling clashes. Team up with them and create a meaningful event that can impact an even larger group.
GO TO A LOCAL RESTAURANT
One of the best ways to build bonds is to break bread. Find a local restaurant to support and bring your crew out for a fun night of good food and great conversation.
HOST AN OFFICE POTLUCK!
Show off your culinary skills and maybe even a piece of your culture by hosting a Potluck right in the office!
HEAD TO A MUSUEM
Whether it’s an art or a history museum, most will host unique cultural exhibits year round and especially on specific heritage months. Why not get a crew together to go learn more about each others culture and have some fun along the way!
HOST AN OFFICE MEETING
Sometimes the simplest way to understand each other is to have some open dialogue. Here are some ideas for meetings you can host right in your local office.
Watching a documentary or moving film can be a really strong way to gain perspective and to open dialogue. Check out each ERG page to find films specific to each culture.
This can be someone from your office or another office who is knowledgeable about a specific topic based on their own personal experience.
If you have someone from your office who has recently gone to a Summit or ERG Event, prepare them ahead of time to speak about it during your next meeting!
Do you have questions or even ideas for hosting an event in your office? Start by reaching out to your local CD&I leaders who will be happy to show you the way!
