“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”

― Michele Sullivan

We are united in our diversity and fueled by a common goal: leaving this world better than we found it. From our individual efforts, to our ERG workshops and even volunteering with hundreds of attendees at our last CD&I Summit, this community is known for the amazing impact we are leaving on the world around us. More recently, each of our Employee Resource Groups are also being empowered to partner with a non-profit they feel will impact their community the most. Explore below to meet our partners!!

URBAN LEAGUE

BERG’s 2024 theme “We are the new ancestors” focuses on paying it forward and positively impacting future generations. The Urban League empowers African Americans and other underserved people to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. The Urban League’s Project Ready aligns with BERG’s goals. BERG invited three local chapters of the Urban League where BERG has a strong presence to work together to submit a grant for support.

Those chapters are Greater Atlanta, Central Carolinas, and Philadelphia.

THE TREVOR

PROJECT

Every 45 seconds an LGBTQ+ young person attempts suicide in the U.S.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) young people. With many funders already supporting crisis services, Queer Power is focusing  more “upstream” on suicide prevention through educational services that educate adults on how to create LGBTQ+ affirming environments – better supporting these youth so they don’t need crisis services.

LULAC

This year Mi Gente is focused on helping address the significant health disparities that exist within the Latino Community. With rising anti-immigrant sentiment and increased criminalization laws, Latinos are reluctant to seek preventative, diagnostic, and treatment services and face economic challenges and systemic barriers to healthcare access. The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) advances the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population of the United States.

THE ASIAN

AMERICAN

FOUNDATION

Founded in response to the rise in anti-Asian hate and violence, TAAF is reversing the longstanding under-investment in our community and addressing the root causes of hate and discrimination. TAAF is dedicated to building a safer, more inclusive future for AAPIs everywhere. By working with the Anti-AAPI Hate initiative, InspirASIAN will be able to support both nationally and locally in several communities that align with Power’s offices. They’ll be able to directly connect with smaller organizations TAAF supports and see the impact.

All of the partnerships you see above were made possible with the intentional combination of your voice and the resources of The Power for Good Foundation. Founded in 2023, the foundation and it’s leadership allow each of us to be catalysts for community impact. Click HERE to learn about all the ways you can be the catalyst for change in your community.
